Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), in partnership with Spanish Cooperation, has just launched a Postgraduate Course in the Law of the City. This new program at the Faculty of Law aims to address urban challenges in Mozambique, focusing on housing, sustainable mobility, territorial planning, and democratic governance of cities.
The course adopts an interdisciplinary approach, combining law, urbanism, governance, community participation, and sustainable development, with the goal of training professionals capable of intervening in the country's main urban problems.
The course launch coincided with the inauguration of the Faculty of Law's Mock Trial Room, created to reinforce practical teaching and bring students closer to the reality of the courts.
The space will allow for the simulation of hearings and judicial processes, contributing to the development of skills in legal argumentation, rhetoric, and technical reasoning.
