This edition marks a new stage in the event's history, with a program that extends over two days and, for the first time, leaves the doors of the CCFM to also occupy the urban space of Mafalala, reinforcing the dialogue between different cultural territories and audiences.

With the participation of national and international artists, the Music Festival reaffirms itself as a space for celebrating cultural diversity and for encounters through music.

The program kicks off on Saturday at 10:30 am at the CCFM, with activities for children, including the workshop "The Body as a Musical Instrument," led by Xixel Langa, Mini Pizza Chefs, face painting, balloons, clowns, and other activities aimed at children.

Throughout the day, the public can also enjoy a food and crafts fair before the start of the musical program, scheduled for 2 pm, with an opening performance by the Xindiro Singing and Dancing Company.

The lineup brings together artists and groups of different musical styles and cultural expressions, including Associação Cultural Hodi – Makwayela Tracks, Rukan Rosy, Bhaka Yafole, Dino Miranda, Salangane (Réunion Island) & Cheny Wa Gune, Yadah Angel, the French guitarist of Spanish origin Kiko Ruiz, Ta Basilly and Afro Moment.

On Sunday, June 21st, the celebration continues in the Mafalala neighborhood. Between 3:30 pm and 5 pm, the public can watch a performance by Tufo da Mafalala and the Associação de Canto e Dança Machaka in the streets of the neighborhood. From 5 pm onwards, the program continues at the Mafalala Museum with performances by Xigogogwana, Nana Motobi (GH) and Projecto África.

Created in France in 1982, the Fête de la Musique is now celebrated in more than a hundred countries and has become one of the largest events dedicated to live music. In Mozambique, the initiative has established itself as a space for celebrating artistic creation, cultural diversity, and encounters between audiences of different generations.
