Gonzart produces wallets with recycled plastic

The lack of school desks and environmental pollution caused by improperly disposed plastic are some of the biggest challenges facing the country. Gonzart has found a way to unite these two realities and transform them into an opportunity for positive impact.

The result is the Ecoseat Project, an initiative that uses locally sourced recycled plastic to produce sturdy, functional, and environmentally friendly school desks.

Vânia Gonçalo, coordinator of Gonzart, emphasizes that the project goes far beyond furniture. "Ecoseat isn't just about school desks. It's about transforming waste into usefulness, rethinking production systems, and creating a dignified environment for our children to learn," she explains.

Each desk produced represents a concrete gesture of hope and innovation. It also offers better study conditions and contributes to reducing the environmental impact caused by discarded plastic.

A New Look at Waste

Mozambique still faces significant difficulties in disposing of its waste sustainably. Ecoseat emerges as a practical circular economy proposal, demonstrating that materials considered useless can be given new life.

"Each desk carries with it a story of a better future, of sustainability and dignity. We want this movement to inspire other areas to adopt creative and responsible solutions," she emphasizes.

More than just a business initiative, Gonzart aims to transform Ecoseat into a collective movement. Gonçalo invites communities, institutions, and partners to support and follow this journey.

"We invite everyone to share and support this project. We believe that, together, we can build a more dignified education and a healthier environment for future generations," he comments.
