Pencil Beach

Lápis beach offers more positive than negative aspects, such as a sailing boat trip at a, shall we say, "dirt cheap" price.

Lápis Beach is a small beach located in the province of Inhambane, in the city of Maxixe. It is situated between the Maxixe pier and Rio de Janeiro beach in Chicuque, a distance of 10 kilometers from the beach.

The beach got its name from a stone tower shaped like a pencil, the reasons for its construction of which were not found on research websites.

Lápis Beach has been an ideal option for young people from the city of Maxixe. It has calm waters without many waves that could create danger for bathers.

However, there is a problem: solid waste management. There is a lot of garbage around that is not collected. Furthermore, it is known as a place with a surprising degree of marginality.

Even so, besides these negative points, Lápis Beach offers more positives than negatives, such as a sailing trip at a very reasonable price.
