The Rosee presents "Bittersweet"

Singer-songwriter The Rosee, stage name of Kiara Rachid, will take the stage at the Mbenga Live Session on March 12th at 7:00 PM at the Radio Mozambique Auditorium to present her EP Bittersweet live, a work that precedes the release of her first album of original songs, scheduled for this year.

A 24-year-old psychology student, The Rosee makes music a natural extension of her education: a place for listening, introspection, and connecting with others. "My relationship with music was born in an intimate and transformative way," she says.

"It was through music that I began to lose my shyness and timidity, discovering in my voice a safe space to exist more truthfully." For her, singing is also a process of personal growth, where vulnerability becomes a shared language.

The EP "Bittersweet" reflects this search. Each song is presented by the artist as an attempt to translate emotions, memories, and silences, in a dialogue between what she experiences and how she perceives the world. The compositions, which blend influences from soul, R&B, and Mozambican popular music, reveal a sound that is both contemporary and deeply personal.

Accompanying The Rosee on stage will be a talented young band, composed of Lika on backing vocals, Jeniffer Macuacua on drums, Inocêncio Oliveira on bass, Michael Sululo on guitar, and Hélio on keyboards, forming a collective that promises to elevate the musical experience of the evening.

The concert marks the fourth edition of the Mbenga Live Session since its creation, and the third this year alone, confirming the project's regularity and growth. Entry is free, upon donation of a school supply item, which will be given to children affected by the floods, in a joint action with the Municipality of Maputo.

The Rosee thus joins names like Shelcia Mac, Nephew 258, and Ivan Manyike in the Mbenga Live Session's repertoire, affirming the project as a consistent platform for launching and consolidating new voices in Mozambican music. The concert, which takes place within the context of International Women's Month, will be broadcast live on Rádio Cidade.
