The academic journey of Mozambican students abroad continues to make the country proud. This time, the spotlight is on Luís Figo José Maposse, 28 years old, from Machulane, in the Mandlakaze district, Gaza province, who graduated with distinction from the Integrated Master's Degree in Mechanical and Mining Engineering in the Russian Federation.

Maposse defended his diploma specializing in Mining Machinery and Equipment at the Belgorod State Technological University, an institution named after Vladimir Grigorevich Shukhov. His work was evaluated with the highest possible grade (five out of 20) in the Russian system, equivalent to 20 out of 20 in the Mozambican scale.

The course attended by the Mozambican student focuses on training professionals capable of designing, operating, and maintaining modern machinery used in the mining industry, integrating knowledge of technology, automation, and industrial safety. These skills are crucial for the operational efficiency of the sector and for promoting sustainable practices in the exploitation of mineral resources.

In addition to achieving top marks in his thesis defense, Luís Maposse obtained an overall average of over 4.80, very close to the maximum allowed in the Russian academic system. This excellent performance earned him the "red diploma," a distinction reserved for students with exceptional academic results, a symbol of high merit, discipline, and dedication.
