Training young people in skills, entrepreneurship, and digital services is one of the main objectives of the VAMOZ Digital! program, recently launched by the Government of Mozambique in partnership with the European Union.

With a budget of 10 million dollars and implemented by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, the program aims to provide opportunities in digital skills to young Mozambicans.

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mateus Magala, stated that VAMOZ Digital! is aligned with Mozambique's Digital Transformation Project, which is being developed by the country. Magala highlighted the importance of preparing young people for an increasingly digital and technological job market.

On the other hand, the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, emphasized that digital tools can be used for business development by young people, especially girls and people with disabilities. Urpilainen added that the training will contribute to the promotion of safe digital inclusion and the creation of job opportunities, benefiting a young population that represents more than 50 percent of Mozambicans.
