Limited funding has been one of the major obstacles to the development of public health policies in the country.

However, in response to this urgent need, the National Institute of Health (INS), with the support of the Government of Flanders through the BICMINS project, has launched the Human Health Research Funding Program.

This nationwide program, which provides 350,000 meticais, aims to encourage massive participation of researchers in conducting research in priority areas identified in the Human Health Research Agenda (AGISA).

The idea is to stimulate the production of relevant scientific evidence to inform health policies, as well as promote collaboration among researchers and local and international institutions.
