J\u00e1 Demis Hassabis e John Jumper desenvolveram um modelo de Intelig\u00eancia Artificial que consegue \u201cprever as estruturas complexas das prote\u00ednas\u201d. Para o Comit\u00e9 que atribui a distin\u00e7\u00e3o, \u201cestas descobertas encerram um enorme potencial\u201d.<br \/>\r\nO grupo de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o de David Baker tem produzido v\u00e1rios tipos de prote\u00ednas, incluindo algumas \u201cque podem ser utilizadas como produtos farmac\u00eauticos, vacinas, nanomateriais e sensores min\u00fasculos\u201d.
