This makes it the second largest literary prize in the country, after the Jos\u00e9 Craveirinha Prize, a career award valued at 25,000 dollars (more than 1.5 million meticais).<\/p>\r\n<p>The prize, which also includes the editing and publication of the winning works, is intended for Mozambican citizens residing in the national territory or in the diaspora, born from 1975 onwards.<\/p>\r\n<p>This edition aims to promote the celebration and recognition of its authors, as well as its scholars; and to encourage literary production. To stimulate a love of literature and writing culture; and to promote criticism and research on Mozambican literature.<\/p>\r\n<p>Each contestant may submit only one work per category.
