Despite this, some initiatives have been working to bring students closer to the skills demanded by the modern world.

Among them, STEMMOZ stands out as one of the most active platforms promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in the country. The initiative connects schools, universities, and students with skills linked to the digital future.

Currently, the platform has more than 72 partner schools, 10 associated universities, and more than 12,000 trained students. The work developed includes practical training in areas such as programming, robotics, artificial intelligence, data science, 3D design, and digital innovation.

Unlike teaching models focused solely on theory, STEMMOZ focuses on learning based on practice and experimentation. In several Mozambican schools, students have direct contact with robotics kits, 3D printing, Python programming, electronics, and technological challenges adapted to the local reality.

The proposal is simple: to transform the classroom into a space for creation, discovery, and innovation.

Among the programs that have generated the most interest is VisionHer, an initiative aimed at girls interested in technology and programming. The goal is to reduce the historical inequality that still exists between men and women in technological fields.

Many young women complete their studies without acquiring fundamental digital skills for today's job market, which ultimately limits their professional opportunities. To address this challenge, the program encourages the development of technological skills from an early age.

Currently, VisionHer is present in several schools across the country, where participants develop activities related to programming, computational thinking, and creative problem-solving. More than teaching technology, the initiative seeks to strengthen confidence, leadership, and female representation in the digital sectors.

STEMMOZ also develops other areas of activity. Stemmoz Labs works with practical STEM education in schools and institutions; Stemmoz Plus focuses on professional certification and career development; Stemmoz Abroad creates opportunities for scholarships and international studies; Stemmoz Digital develops technological solutions and educational platforms.

Furthermore, the organization invests in teacher training and the creation of customized STEM labs, promoting more interactive and collaborative teaching methods.

By stimulating critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, STEMMOZ is helping to prepare a new generation for the challenges of the future. In an increasingly digital society, initiatives like this play an important role in training new professionals and building a more innovative education in Mozambique.

By bringing children and young people closer to science, engineering, and technology from an early age, STEMMOZ contributes to creating a new educational narrative based on knowledge, innovation, and social transformation.

A lighter, magazine-style version could also make it more engaging for publication in a newspaper or educational supplement.

(By Rafael Langa)

The idea is simple: to transform the classroom into a space for creation, discovery, and innovation.

[caption id="attachment_1834" align="alignnone" width="700"]<img class="size-medium ...

[4,16
1980,1981,1979,544,1982
post-4831","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-cooperation-and-development","category-destacadas","tag-engenharia-e-matematica","tag-escolas","tag-stem-ciencia","tag-tecnologia","tag-universidades
["GET
