In this edition, participants are challenged to translate one of the selected texts from Portuguese, English, or French into their mother tongue, with preference given to Mozambican languages.<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>According to the organization, the initiative seeks to promote cultural exchange and stimulate interest in literary translation as a tool for preserving and disseminating the country's different linguistic identities.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>Winners will receive monetary prizes, certificates of participation, and will have their translations published in the next anthology of the competition, continuing the literary dissemination work developed throughout previous editions.<\/p>\r\n<p>In past editions, the competition has stood out for the growing participation of young translators and university students, as well as contributing to the visibility of Mozambican languages, which are frequently absent from publishing circuits.
