Having lived in Portugal for several years, Michel William remains deeply connected to the sonic roots of Mozambique, as evidenced in \"Filho de Deus\" (Son of God), his most recent CD, composed of eight tracks.<\/p>\r\n

\"Filho de Deus\" delves into an aesthetic marked by the presence of marrabenta, a genre that emerges as the main identifying axis of the album, harmoniously dialoguing with influences from afro-zouk, kizomba, marrabenta, reggae, ska, funk, blues, and world music.<\/p>\r\n

The album showcases not only the artist's vocal and instrumental quality but also his competence as a composer, producer, and performer. Recognized for his mastery of the guitar and the melodic sensitivity of his compositions, Michel William constructs an emotionally rich sonic narrative, where each song reveals human experiences, social reflections, and messages of hope.<\/p>\r\n

From a thematic point of view, the CD explores profoundly human and social paths. The songs address values \u200b\u200bsuch as love for one's neighbor, family unity, solidarity, and the importance of the father figure in society. The track \u201cPai de Fam\u00edlia\u201d (Family Man), for example, stands out for its sensitive approach to responsibility, affection, and presence within the family.<\/p>\r\n

At the same time, the album presents a critical and conscious dimension regarding contemporary reality. In \u201cTodos Querem Comer\u201d (Everyone Wants to Eat), Michel William proposes a reflection on social inequalities, survival, and collective ambitions, using Mozambique as a starting point for a broader look at current global challenges.<\/p>\r\n

With a career built between Mozambique and Portugal, Michel William has been consolidating his name on important international stages and festivals. In Portugal, he has already performed in renowned venues such as Club B.Leza, Casino Lisboa, Casino Tr\u00f3ia, T\u00f3kio, F\u00e1brica Bra\u00e7o de Prata, and Martim Moniz, in addition to participating in festivals such as Bel\u00e9m Art Fest, Out Jazz, Cordas World Music Festival, Eco-Festival Salva a Terra, and Festival Gl\u00f3ria ao Rock.<\/p>\r\n

In 2019, the artist released his first album, \"I Have Got a Plan,\" the name of a recent tour throughout the country, which included performances in cities such as Beira and Maputo, alongside musicians like Stewart Sukuma, Regina dos Santos, Gaby Fernandes, Johnny Ramos, and Humberto Lu\u00eds.<\/p>\r\n
