As a significant contribution to deepening theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of occupational and organizational safety, the book \"Safety Culture, Neuroscience and Human Behavior,\" by Ant\u00f3nio Ara\u00fajo Costa, was launched this Tuesday in Maputo and published by Catalogus.<\/p>\r\n

With an interdisciplinary approach, Ant\u00f3nio Ara\u00fajo Costa combines knowledge from neuroscience, psychology, and management, proposing an innovative reflection on the role of human beings in building safer, more ethical, and sustainable work environments.<\/p>\r\n

In a context where it is increasingly urgent to balance efficiency with respect for life and human dignity, the author argues that safety is not limited to compliance with rules and procedures. On the contrary, he presents it as a state of collective awareness, supported by values \u200b\u200bsuch as emotional maturity, ethics, and social responsibility.<\/p>\r\n

The work also highlights that true prevention begins in the mind, in how people perceive risk, manage their emotions, and take responsibility for their behavior.<\/p>\r\n

More than a technical manual, it is a profound reflection on how organizational cultures are built and how these, in turn, influence human behavior.<\/p>\r\n

It invites the public to rethink the concept of safety in everyday life, which, ultimately, defines human behavior even in the absence of surveillance, namely, the choices, values, and attitudes that reveal who we really are.<\/p>\r\n

Ant\u00f3nio Ara\u00fajo Costa, born in Mozambique in 1973 and currently residing in Maputo, is the administrator of CERTIFICARE, a company he founded with the vision of contributing to the promotion of safe work environments and helping other companies and organizations build a stronger occupational health and safety culture.<\/p>\r\n

Holding a degree in Business Finance Management, a Master's degree in Consumer Behavior with a thesis in Neuroscience, and currently pursuing a doctorate in Psychology, he combines two passions: the academic one, in the continuous pursuit of knowledge, and the personal and professional one, in contributing to best practices in team management and leadership.<\/p>\r\n

This work is an expression of his vision and field experience as a Senior Occupational Health and Safety Technician (PT), IOSH Certified Member (UK), Associated Member of ISEP (UK), and trainer in Occupational Health and Safety, notably as a trainer accredited by NEBOSH (UK).<\/p>\r\n
