Thus, Paulina Chiziane was recognized for her invaluable contribution to the literature and cultural identity of the continent.<\/p>\r\n<p>Paulina Chiziane was born in Manjacaze, Gaza province, in 1955. She is the author of \u201cBalada de Amor ao Vento\u201d (1991), the first novel by a Mozambican woman.<\/p>\r\n<p>In 2014, she was awarded the rank of Grand Officer of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator by the Portuguese State.
