Mozambican professor Rosendo Mathe thinks this is a good idea, hence his proposal of one of the best ways to protect monuments and historical sites.

Rosendo Mathe, a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Arts and Culture (ISArC) in Matola, was speaking at the Maputo Fortress, one of the country's most important monuments, about the need to develop heritage management plans as part of emergency responses to disasters and conflicts.

The professor was leading the lecture "Emergency Responses for Living Heritage in Conflict and Disaster Contexts," as part of the celebrations for the International Day for Monuments and Sites, May 18th.

In addition to communities, Mathe advocates for the inclusion of other stakeholders in the preservation of the country's cultural and tourist heritage, such as students, policymakers, and other relevant figures, in the search for sustainable solutions.

The text discusses the use of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), particularly social networks, and the integration of gender considerations, with a special focus on women's involvement due to their sensitivity in the field of conservation.

According to Mathe, management plans should be developed heuristically and regionally, taking into account the diversity of Mozambican reality. The professor also argued that these plans should include the registration and inventory of heritage assets as an integral part of the process, emphasizing that "we only manage what we know."

(By MozaVibe)

In addition to the communities, Mathe advocates for the inclusion of other stakeholders in the preservation of the country’s cultural and tourist heritage, such as students, policymakers, and other relevant figures, in th…

[16,6
1830,1829,1828,284,1832,1833,1831
post-4618","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-destacadas","category-tourism","tag-18-de-maio","tag-ia-internacional-dos-monumentos-e-sitios","tag-instituto-superior-de-artes-e-cultura-isarc","tag-matola","tag-patrimonio-cultural-e-turistico-nacional","tag-rosendo-mathe","tag-tecnologias-de-informacao-e-comunicacao-tic
["GET
