With the growing international recognition of the contributions of the African diaspora, Mozambique was present at the PowerList BANTUMEN 100 gala, recently announced in Lisbon.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n

The 2025 edition highlighted 22 Mozambicans among the one hundred most influential Black figures in the Portuguese-speaking world, reinforcing the visibility of citizens of the country, both residents and in the diaspora, who distinguish themselves in the fields of culture, science, sports, media, and civil society.<\/p>\r\n

Created in 2021 by BANTUMEN, the PowerList is an annual initiative that aims to recognize Black personalities whose work has significantly impacted Portuguese-speaking countries. In this edition, Mozambique appears as the third most represented country, with a balanced gender distribution: 53% men and 47% women.<\/p>\r\n

Among the prominent Mozambican names featured are figures such as dancer Pak Ndjamena, visual artist Reinata Sadimba, physician Annette Cassy, \u200b\u200bacademic Nuno Maulide, and social entrepreneur Alice Banze, reflecting the diversity of talent across different geographies and sectors. The presentation gala took place in Lisbon, bringing together honorees, institutional guests, and stakeholders from the artistic and academic worlds.<\/p>\r\n

The 2025 edition of the PowerList includes personalities from seven countries: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, and S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe. Globally, the list reveals a balanced distribution between genders (52% men, 48% women) and a strong female presence in areas such as Science (86%) and Communication (100%). Cinema, visual arts, and digital media show total parity, underscoring the organization's effort to value diversity and inclusion.<\/p>\r\n

The 22 Mozambicans distinguished in the 2025 edition are: Alice Banze, \u00c1lvaro Fausto Taruma, Am\u00e9rico Bill, Annette Cassy, \u200b\u200bCec\u00edlia Rodjola, Eliana Nzualo, Fidelia Chemane Panguane, Gil Cambule, Guyzelh Ramos, Helena Buque, Katia Taela, Marco Mendon\u00e7a, Melchior Ferreira, Nuno Maulide, Nuno Remane, Oct\u00e1vio Pudivitr, Oscar Monteiro, Pak Ndjamena, Paula Cardoso, Plut\u00f3nio, Reinata Sadimba and Twenty Fingers.<\/p>\r\n
