Seven artists were honored this Thursday in Maputo with the Mozal Arts and Culture Awards 2025<\/a>, an initiative that aims to recognize the merit and contribution of young creators to the country's cultural development.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n

According to the jury, choosing the winners was \"extremely difficult\" due to the high artistic level and diversity of the works submitted.<\/p>\r\n

The organizers highlighted that the quality of the submitted works demonstrates the growth of the sector and the commitment of young artists to the appreciation of Mozambican culture.<\/p>\r\n

The winners of this edition were Nuno Silas, in the Visual Arts category; M\u00e1rio Cumbana, in Photography; Raul Zimila, in Theatre; Osvaldo Passirivo, in Dance; Melchior Ferreira, in Cinema; Amarildo Rungo, in Fashion and Clothing Design; and Az Khinera, in the Music category.<\/p>\r\n

Each winner received 120,000 meticais.<\/p>\r\n

The Mozal Arts and Culture Awards are consolidating themselves as one of the main platforms for valuing artistic talent in Mozambique.<\/p>\r\n

The initiative aims to encourage creative production, promote innovation, and strengthen the role of cultural industries in the social and economic development of the country.<\/p>\r\n
