A group of former students from Eduardo Mondlane University at the School of Arts and Communications (ECA-UEM) recently met to celebrate Alumni Day and inspire the new generation of university students.<\/p>\r\n

The event was marked by the round table \u201cThe role of Alumni in strengthening the Faculty of Arts and Communication\u201d and featured the participation of prominent figures in the areas of communication and culture, all of whom graduated from ECA-UEM.<\/p>\r\n

For J\u00falio Manjate, CEO of the newspaper \u201cNot\u00edcias\u201d, the secret to success is not in the diploma itself, but in the ongoing need to acquire practical knowledge that results in quality work.<\/p>\r\n

This position was reinforced by H\u00e9lio Jonasse, CEO of Television of Mozambique (TVM), for whom students must apply themselves to the maximum in order to stand out in the classroom and gain recognition from teachers, who can easily redirect them to the job market.<\/p>\r\n

Another relevant point of view was shared by Pamella Maguche, a graduate in Marketing, and Acic\u00eanio Macu\u00e1cua, a graduate in Information Sciences, a course that has changed its name to Librarianship and Documentation. Both argued that initiative and an entrepreneurial attitude are crucial in the transition to the job market.<\/p>\r\n

Pamella encouraged young people to invest in volunteer programs as a way of gaining experience even before graduating. Acic\u00eanio, in turn, highlighted the importance of boldness and proactivity, suggesting that young people look directly for opportunities, without being afraid to knock on several doors. He also called for the valorization and dissemination of librarianship, an area that he considers still underestimated and little known in Mozambican companies.<\/p>\r\n

In the field of arts, Janete Manica, a graduate in Music, and Fernando Macamo, a graduate in Theater, brought a creative and inspiring perspective, arguing that professional success is born from passion, authenticity and continuous effort.<\/p>\r\n

Janete encouraged students to use social media as a showcase for their talent and to cultivate good professional relationships. Fernando highlighted the importance of setting goals, staying focused and being creative, reminding them that \u201cwe must do what we love and do it with love, without fear of losing.\u201d<\/p>\r\n
