Mozambique will be represented at the 8th International Congress on Environmental Education for Portuguese-Speaking Countries and Communities, which will be held from 21 to 25 July at the Amazonas-Vasco Vasques Convention Centre in Brazil.<\/p>\r\n

The event, promoted by the Lusophone Network, will bring together representatives from several nations, including Portugal, Brazil, East Timor, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and Galicia.<\/p>\r\n

The Mozambican delegation will include 17 participants from government and academic institutions and civil society organisations. They will present scientific articles, research reports, posters and other relevant contributions in the area of \u200b\u200benvironmental education. The selected works include studies on urban afforestation, the employability of graduates in environmental education and the impacts of environmental education in primary education.<\/p>\r\n

During the application phase, around 140 Mozambicans expressed interest in participating, reflecting the country\u2019s growing involvement in environmental issues. However, many face financial challenges to ensure their presence at the event.<\/p>\r\n

With the theme \u201cEnvironmental Education and Local Action: responses to the climate emergency, environmental justice, democracy and good living\u201d, the congress aims to promote the exchange of experiences and sustainable solutions among Portuguese-speaking countries.<\/p>\r\n
