Mozambique and the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais recently signed an agreement that provides for the exchange of experiences and good practices in tourism management, in addition to the integration of cultural and artistic activities between the two territories.<\/p>\r\n

The agreement was signed by the State Secretariat for Culture and Tourism of Minas Gerais and the National Institute of Tourism (INATUR) and the Center for the Development of Financial Information Systems (CEDSIF). The latter two institutions are overseen by the Ministries of Economy and Finance, respectively.<\/p>\r\n

Signed during the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL), one of the largest fairs in the sector in Portugal, the protocol establishes mutual participation in tourism events, Mozambique's access to the Integrated Tourism Platform of Minas Gerais and the exchange of knowledge on tourism and the creative economy.<\/p>\r\n

For Le\u00f3nidas Oliveira, from the Government of Minas Gerais, this is a significant step in cooperation between Portuguese-speaking countries.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n

\u201cCelebrating this agreement with Mozambique is a milestone in the union of our peoples. The two regions share unique cultural riches, and this partnership is essential to strengthen tourism, culture and the creative economy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

In turn, the Mozambican Secretary of State for Tourism, Fredson Bacar, highlighted the relevance of the agreement.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n

\u201cThis partnership represents the revival of hope and commitment between our peoples. Even though we are separated by an ocean, we can build new opportunities and share our rich cultural diversity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n
