Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency platform, and AltSchool Africa have teamed up in an initiative aimed at developing young African talent in the tech sector.<\/p>\r\n

The collaboration will offer 500 full scholarships starting in January 2025, providing participants access to educational programs focused on areas such as software engineering, cybersecurity, sales, and content creation.<\/p>\r\n

The program, which will run until December 2025, seeks to address the digital skills gap on the African continent, preparing young people for a rapidly changing job market. In addition to classes, students will have access to mentorship, hands-on training, and career development support, positioning them as key players in the global digital economy.<\/p>\r\n

Samantha Fuller, a Binance representative, emphasized the company\u2019s commitment to education and social impact.<\/p>\r\n

\r\n

\u201cWe believe technology is a driver of change. By investing in education, we are shaping Africa's future and empowering young people to lead transformations in the digital space,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u201cThis collaboration expands our reach, enabling more young Africans to access degree courses and practical training in high-demand sectors. We believe this initiative will transform lives across the continent,\u201d added Nifemi Akinwamide, Chief of Global Operations at AltSchool Africa.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

The need for this action is clear. According to the International Finance Corporation (IFC), 230 million jobs in Sub-Saharan Africa will require digital skills by 2030, but currently, only 2% of the workforce has the necessary competencies. By providing high-quality training, Binance and AltSchool Africa aim to reduce this gap and prepare young Africans to tackle the challenges and opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.<\/p>\r\n

This effort also reflects Binance\u2019s commitment to digital inclusion, aligning with other social impact initiatives by the company. For AltSchool Africa, the partnership is an opportunity to strengthen its role as a leading platform for digital talent development in the region.<\/p>\r\n

With this initiative, it is expected that the benefiting students will not only fill local talent gaps but also stand out in international high-demand markets, reinforcing Africa's role as a hub of innovation and technology.<\/p>\r\n
