And it has the potential to do so, as they would not deceive the participants of the tourism agents who advocate this, especially as they experience this situation up close.<br \/>\r\nAnd due to the relevance of the subject, this was one of the most highlighted elements in the celebrations of World Tourism Day, September 27th, which took place under the motto \"Tourism and Peace\". In fact, the event itself aims to bring the tourism sector into the country, presenting it not only as a source of economic growth, but also as a pillar of peace and social cohesion.<br \/>\r\nJo\u00e3o Das Neves, vice-president of the Mozambique Travel and Tourism Association (AVITUM), brought an optimistic perspective by stating that after the pandemic the sector is recovering and registering an increase in the volume of tickets issued. For Jo\u00e3o Neves, it is crucial to invest in boosting markets and attracting tourists to priority destinations, emphasizing the importance of a collaborative approach to compete on the global stage.<br \/>\r\nVasco Manhi\u00e7a, president of the Mozambican Hotel and Tourism Federation (FEMOTUR), added that the future of tourism depends on coordinated action between the public, private sector and civil society.
