\u201cAhimiyelanga\u201d, a term in xirhogana that means \u201cwe are not silent\u201d, is the theme chosen for the 40th anniversary party of the band Ghorwane, an obligatory reference in the history of mozambican music.
\r\nThe four decades full of music were completed in 2023, but it was not easy to reach almost half a century of existence, the group feels the need to celebrate in the best way possible.
\r\nIn this sense, there will be two days of celebration, this Friday and Saturday, at 8 pm, at the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center, (CCFM) in the city of Maputo. The concerts are representative of his legacy and influence on national artistic-cultural development.
\r\nThey are part of the band's 40-year career tour that began last year, having toured various stages across the country with a view to highlighting their resilience as a group and remembering former members such as Zeca Alage and Pedro Langa.
\r\nAlso known as \u201cBons Rapazes\u201d, the band Ghorwane emerged in 1983 in the province of Gaza and is known for its themes in local languages, including Xichangana and Xirhonga, reflecting Mozambican daily life, especially in the first years of independence.
