The Lurdes Mutola Space, located in the Brazão Maxila Central Library, brings together a collection of historical items from the Olympic champion.
Considered one of the greatest figures in world athletics and one of the most admired personalities in Mozambique, Lurdes Mutola won, throughout his career, important titles, such as gold in the 800 meters at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000, and several medals in championships. worldwide.
The Lurdes Mutola Space will also be a point of study and research for those who wish to learn more about the trajectory of Mozambican women in sport and the social impact of sport in Mozambique.
