Mozambican artists Zerito Sabão, Medjiss Mutombene and Carmen Muianga have won the Best Future Award 2025, given to participants in the Crescente Collection, an annual exhibition at the Kulungwana Gallery in Maputo.
The winners outperformed seven other finalists, namely Albino Mahumana, Chonga, Walter Zand, Isac Tivane, Lara Zoig, Mário Cumbana and Winasse.
With this achievement, the three winners will be entitled to participate or be represented in art fairs and workshops in neighbouring South Africa this year.
The jury is made up of members from Mozambique and South Africa, who evaluated more than 300 works, taking into account criteria such as originality, technique and conceptual relevance of their work.
