Praia do Tofo: a primeira opção turística do país

Tofo Beach, in Inhambane province, is named Mozambique's top tourist attraction by the international website TripAdvisor, topping the list of the country's top 15. Inhaca Island and the central railway station in Maputo round out the top spot.

The destination, known for its rustic atmosphere, attracts surfers, divers, and lovers of paradisiacal beaches. It is located about 20 kilometers from the city of Inhambane and can be reached by plane, with flights from Maputo, or by land.

Among the lodging options, Kumba Lodge stands out, offering bungalows with ocean or garden views, a beachfront restaurant, and yoga classes, just a 15-minute walk from the town center.

Visitors can also enjoy diving, snorkeling, surfing, and marine life observation. It is recommended to bring light clothing, insect repellent, sunscreen, and cash, as there are no ATMs in the town. For better exchange rates, it is best to exchange dollars in Maputo.

With its turquoise sea and tranquil atmosphere, Tofo has established itself as the country's main tourist attraction, captivating both domestic and international travelers.
