For the second year in a row, the province of Cabo Delgado was the big winner at the International Tourism Fair (Fikani 2024), winning the awards for Best Exhibiting Province and Best Stand.
The event, which recently took place at the Mozambique-China Cultural Center in Maputo, was attended by several provinces and companies, highlighting best practices and innovations in tourism.
The debut was announced during the closing of the 10th edition of Fikani, in a ceremony that also highlighted other highlights. The Revelation Prize was awarded to the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC), while Ancha Bucuane was recognized as Best Crafts Exhibitor. In gastronomy, the province of Inhambane was a big winner, while the award for Best International Stand went to Triland, a collaboration between Mozambique, Eswatini and South Africa.
Other winners included Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM), which was named Best Airline, and Atlantic Lantic Travel, recognized as Best Travel Agency. Hotel Polana secured 1st place in the Best Tourist Enterprise Stand category.
The winners were selected by the jury based on strict criteria, including innovation, creativity, assembly dynamics, interaction with visitors, and the quality of information, services and products presented at the stands.
Cabo Delgado's victory reaffirms the province's tourism potential, standing out as a destination of excellence and innovation in Mozambique's tourism panorama.
