Agnaldo Bata is a Mozambican writer who was born in the early 1990s in the Chamanculo neighbourhood, on the outskirts of Maputo.

The author started out in the theatre and in 2017 decided to venture into the world of literary writing as a way of complementing dramatic writing, by which time he will have launched his first literary work entitled "Na Terra dos Sonhos" (In the Land of Dreams) onto the market.

At the moment, he has devoted himself to prose and can see a future in which he can explore the juvenile genre, in addition to the children's and adult genres in which he has written four works so far.

Bata's works are always linked to the reality around us. Our culture, beliefs and the way we build our society. For Bata, writing is a duty and he believes it's his duty as a citizen to leave stories on record for later reflection.

It should be noted that since his debut, Agnaldo Bata has released three more books, namely "Dreams Stained, Dreams Lived", "At the Edge of the Rainbow" and "Mungadze and the Legend of the Musical Kingdom"!
