Mozambican Umar Teixeira has been selected to join the prestigious regional revitalization program promoted by the Awaji Youth Federation, an initiative of the Pasona Group in Japan. The initiative aims to attract global talent to drive sustainable development in rural Japan.
Among more than 10,000 candidates from around the world, Umar Teixeira was one of the 16 selected, representing Mozambique and the African continent. For a year, he will collaborate on the implementation of strategic projects, using his skills to strengthen the socio-economic development of Japanese communities.

Umar Danilo Aly Teixeira holds a master's degree in International Development and Education from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. He holds a degree in Economics from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan, consolidating his outstanding academic background.
With a career marked by projects in Mozambique, South Africa, Nigeria, Somaliland, Nepal and Japan, Umar has worked in areas such as education, rural development and social innovation. He holds the position of Development Specialist at the Pasona Group, where he works to promote sustainable solutions adapted to local needs.
