September of some cultural houses

September arrived with many proposals in terms of artistic and cultural events. In each space, “Mozavibe” highlights only one event, but we leave here the agendas made available by some spaces so that the dear reader knows how to make a good choice:

IN LITERATURE, we highlight the Fernando Leite Couto Foundation, which at the end of the month launches the book “Os Peregrinos da Sobrevivência”, with which the Mozambican writer Francisco Panguana Júnior won the Fernando Leite Mia Couto Literary Prize 2024. The space can also be highlighted in the visual arts, with the exhibition “Shared Horizons and Multiple Views”, on Wednesday.

IN MUSIC, we highlight the 16Neto space, which, also at the end of the month, offers a show by Deltino Guerreiro. It will be in Maputo, but it is an opportunity to reach various parts of the country and beyond, especially Cabo Delgado, the artist's homeland, whose show is titled “Deltino Guerreiro: the intimate of Eparokotxi”.

IN CINEMA, we highlight the Guimarães Rosa Institute, which this Friday opens the first “CineFoot Mozambique”, that is, a Brazilian Cinema Show about Football.

IN THE THEATER, we highlight the Mozambican-German Cultural Center with the play “Sobre todo a obscura”, directed by Ramadan Matusse and inspired by a text by writer Mélio Tinga. Still in the theater, one cannot ignore the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center, which proposes, for the 12th, a staged reading by Lucrécia Paco, entitled “Resónances - a plurilingual staged reading”.
