The Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center (CCFM), in the city of Maputo, will host the 12th edition of the Music Festival on Saturday.
The event brings together renowned and emerging artists with a view to promoting Mozambican music and exchange between musicians of different generations, also aiming to spread the diversity of the country's musical styles.
Performances by the collectives 4D Band, Music Crossroads, Banda Tai are scheduled, as well as performances by Dickosn Uthui, João Cabral, Silke, The Hood Broadz and Dona Saquia.
The Music Festival is a popular initiative that emerged in France 42 years ago. Since 2012, taking place in the city of Maputo has become an annual event, adapted to the local context and providing the Mozambican public with a wide variety of musical styles for all tastes and for all ages.
Since its first edition, more than 1,500 people have enjoyed the Festival at CCFM, with a series of concerts, a craft and gastronomy fair and even activities for children and teenagers.
