Butcheca's solo exhibition - "Abraçar o Caos" - continues until November 30th, at the gallery of the Centro Cultural Português, in Maputo.
“Embracing chaos” is the artist’s 15th solo exhibition, bringing together new works created during the current year, and featuring the special participation of writer Mia Couto.
Butcheca has worked for around three decades in the field of painting and has been reflecting on several current themes that concern him.
According to the text written by the artist for this exhibition: “What appears to be a personal internal struggle becomes the evocation of a more universal reflection on the human condition, in the search for clarity and answers to the most diverse questions about the meaning of things. .”
