The third edition of Moda Baía, recently held in Maputo, stood out as a vibrant festival that brought together emerging and established talents in Mozambican fashion.

The three-day event culminated in a special children's fashion show, celebrating the creativity of the new generation.

On Friday, Kamana Felix and Sabatha stole the spotlight with collections that reflected the rich cultural tapestry of Mozambique. Kamana showcased bold pieces, blending traditional fabrics with a contemporary touch, while Sabatha impressed with her sustainable approach, using eco-friendly materials to create sophisticated and responsible looks.

One of the highlights was Omar Adelino, whose elegant and innovative collection further solidified his position as one of the leading names in local fashion. His designs, balancing tradition and modernity, captured the attention of both the audience and critics, elevating the event experience.

The children also took the stage with a charming runway show featuring 22 kids, each dressed in creative outfits that combined style and comfort. The day was a tribute to childhood, filled with smiles and spontaneous poses, proving that fashion can be fun and accessible from an early age.

Lisié Champier, marketing manager of Baía Mall, commented: “Moda Baía is a celebration of creativity and a platform for the growth of the local industry. This year, we succeeded in bringing together diverse talents and inspiring both adults and children.”

With a strategic collaboration with DDB Mozambique, the event not only stood out for its fashion but also became a vital networking space for designers and industry professionals. The goal of attracting 5,000 attendees and reaching millions on social media was widely surpassed, reaffirming Moda Baía as a crucial influencer in Mozambican fashion.

At the end of the event, the combination of dazzling runway shows, a welcoming atmosphere, and the celebration of young talent left an indelible mark, proving that fashion in Mozambique is more vibrant than ever.
